We are looking for a Ground Segment Manager with experience in the space sector to lead the development, implementation, and management of ground segment solutions in European projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for defining, planning, and executing control, monitoring, and communication systems for space missions.
They will work closely with space agencies, industrial contractors, and internal engineering teams to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of the ground segment in European space sector projects.
* Manage the integration of ground stations, communication networks, mission control centers and payload data ground segment.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure alignment with customer technical and operational requirements.
* Oversee the planning, execution, and validation of ground segment system tests.
* Collaborate with space agencies and European organizations in defining ground segment standards and requirements.
* Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards in space and telecommunications fields.
* Manage budgets, schedules, and risks associated with ongoing projects.
* Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in ground segment solutions.

What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field (Master's degree preferred).
* Extensive experience (15+ years) in Ground Segment engineering, including design, development, and implementation.
* Experience with ground station architecture and its related elements.
* Profound knowledge of Ground Segment systems and standards, including data processing algorithms.
* Strong knowledge of space domain projects and methodologies, specifically ECSS
* Experience in Verification and Validation concepts and procedures, including test design.
* Strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or Java applied to the development and customization of ground segment systems.
* Capacity to support marketing and sales teams in business development and pre-sales tasks from the technical perspective (customer presentations and demos, proposal preparation, etc.)
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative international team environment.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of spacecraft orbit determination.
* Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and distributed systems architecture.
* Experience working with international space agencies and industry partners.
