Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca - Destination by Hyatt is seeking a dynamic accounts clerk. You will be responsible to assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. Key Responsibilities:
* Account Payable: Processing AP invoices by collecting backup and purchase orders, coding and scanning invoices, verifying payment proposals, ensuring suppliers are paid timely, responding to supplier inquiries;
* Accounts Receivable: Verify invoices for groups and events before sending to client in our groups and event billing system, follow up on deposits, chase clients with outstanding balances, processing of charge back requests, monthly reconciliation of loyalty program reservations from World of Hyatt, processing of bank statements;
* Cashiering: Daily reconciling cash received, preparing bank deposits, issuing petty cash payments, preparing daily general cashier report / journal, preparing petty cash journal, ordering spare change and management of the Glory automated cash machine;
* Income Audit: Preparing daily revenue and payment reconciliation, auditing outlet cover information, processing entertainment checks, performing spot checks;
* Reconciling Gift Voucher, Petty Cash, Over & Short, Tip, and Due Back accounts;
* Ensuring all historical information is filed in a way that provides easy access;
* Following up with other hotel staff on invoices pending for approval in our procurement system Birchstreet;
* Providing internal and external audits with required documents;
* Assisting the purchasing department during the absence of the purchasing team.
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience in a similar position, full time or traineeship, in the finance department of a Hotel;
* A degree or qualification in Finance and Accounting or Hospitality Management;
* Great problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills;
* Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows, strong Excel skills are preferred;
* Knowledge of hotel applications (Opera PMS, Micros Simphony POS, Onyx, Credit Card systems);
* Experience with procurement systems is preferred;
* Fluent in English;
* Legally allowed to work in Spain/UE (we do not assist with Visa/permit applications).
