The Software Architect works together with the architecture community to analyze and propose new solutions that help our business maximize results, under the premise of cost + maintenance + security vs profit.
Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Improve overall quality, performance and security of IT solutions delivered to the business.
2. Identify problems or possible improvements in production from the point of view of application, infrastructure and databases with good monitoring analysis skills (Profiling, database statistics, DVM Reports, Prometheus, JVM monitoring, Heap dump and thread dump analysis, garbage collector and memory analysis) and document proposals for approval.
3. Understand and analyze enterprise business outcomes, business capabilities, and drivers to determine corresponding architectural change requirements.
4. Support business in functional design, exploring all possible scenarios and providing pros and cons to stakeholders. Facilitate impact analysis of decisions with technical dependencies.
5. Collaborate with the solution architect to provide the necessary technical backlog ready in advance.
6. Increase knowledge of current IT landscape on operation and its integrations and deployment model while maintaining an updated cartography of systems involved for its build team.
7. Ensure that Admiral technical standards are applied according to the enterprise architecture policies and rules.
8. Consult on High Level Designs and PoC of changes and architectural requirements. Study and implement new tools/functionality.
9. Lead implementation of functionalities with high risk or major structural changes.
10. Lead improvements on delivery pipeline and available tools following Engineering Platform and SRE teams' rules and policies.
11. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies, products, and trends related to architectural solutions.
12. Work together with Engineering to represent its country operation from an architecture perspective.
13. Be the technical reference for the team, assisting in day-to-day work.
