We are searching for the best talent for QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER to be in São José dos Campos, Brazil.
Purpose:
Position reporting to the Quality Director; Responsible for managing the Quality Control (Supply Chain) team within Brazil MedTech Surgery site, ensuring that production processes and finished products comply with the established company and regulatory standards. Responsible for establishing quality standards and designing testing methods, quality assurance plans, and inspection procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Develops and manages the implementation of inspection, testing, and evaluation methods and procedures.
2. Promotes mentoring, training, guidance, and development of the quality control team.
3. Evaluates performance and provides growth opportunities.
4. Communicates department objectives, metrics, and related results.
5. Participates in planning and implementing changes in production methods, tools and equipment, space allocations, production schedules, and other factors necessary to maintain or improve compliance with quality standards.
6. Ensures compliance with the requirements of global health authorities and internal standards.
7. Supports and provides appropriate resources for the proper investigation of non-conformances, market complaints, escalations, CAPAs.
8. Defines the laboratory's strategic planning.
9. Prepares quality control reports, requirements, quotes, and other business opportunities.
10. Develops the area’s Budget planning, as well as appropriately utilizes the financial resources provided.
11. Identifies potential hazards to people, property, and the environment, complying with procedures set by the company and Brazilian legislation.
12. Communicates business-related problems or opportunities to the next management level.
13. Ensures the adoption of a quality culture that enables meeting the objectives defined by the company.
14. Responsible for ensuring compliance with current policies, norms, and procedures of the company.
15. Manages staff performance and takes disciplinary action when necessary.
16. Empowers team to act with speed, agility, and accountability.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education: Bachelor's degree in Biological, Chemical or any other Exact Sciences; Master’s degree in Quality, People Management, or related fields; A minimum of 6 years of quality experience in a GMP and/or ISO regulated industry is required, with at least some of that time spent in a leadership position.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Desired certification as Green or Black Belt in Lean and/or Six Sigma; Verbal and written communication skills; Knowledge of Regulatory Standards; Skills in prioritizing, follow-up, and controlling results and metrics; Knowledge in problem-solving and quality tools; Understanding of Quality Assurance and Compliance; Direct interaction and experience in leading teams during Health Authority inspections; Previous experience with budget management and lab capacity; Capability to manage multiple priorities and unexpected changes.
Location and Travel Requirements:
Position based in São José dos Campos. Occasional travel for domestic and/or international territories.
