WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Development Team Leader, your mission will be to contribute to the transformation and continuous evolution of the platforms that support the SCIB Regulatory and Compliance domain.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
1. Manage a team of IT developers, accommodating each team member's preferences with the areas where the workload is higher. Balance between team members' career paths and product time-to-market is key.
2. Work on the Technical design so solutions can meet the IT reference architecture for Santander C&IB.
3. Propose software designs for applications or components applying agreed standards, patterns, and tools. Ability to understand complex architectures with a wide range of technologies which need to talk to each other.
4. Actively work on software optimization and process efficiency.
5. Disposition to do what it takes to ensure the team accomplishes its goals.
6. Contribute towards technical requirements of all the products/features.
7. Understand the business logic so you can propose enhancements to the end-user areas.
8. 50% of the time required to work as a senior developer, with your own deliverables.
9. Collaborate in the design of online integration solutions to apply to the Transaction Monitoring and Screening products based on APIs, microservices, MQ, and Kafka messaging.
10. Manage team members' workload, support new joiners with their expertise, and assist junior team members with their career plans.
11. Collaborate in project plan creations and follow-ups, assessing if the team honors its commitments and adequately escalating if not the case.
EXPERIENCE
1. Sound experience on distributed architectures, both synchronous (API REST) and asynchronous (Kafka, MQ); Springboot framework is a must.
2. Security concepts knowledge related to OAuth2, SSL certificates.
3. Experience managing development teams.
4. Broad SQL Relational database knowledge.
5. Broad knowledge around Cloud Computing environments.
6. Communication skills: ability to adequately address messages and level of detail to each level in the Organization.
7. Conflict resolution: Capacity to create an atmosphere of creative thinking adequately managing different views to produce consensus solutions.
8. Nice to have Technology Knowledge: Python, ElasticSearch, WebServices (SOAP).
9. Exceptional working ethics, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
10. Ability to work both autonomously and together with a multi-skilled distributed team.
11. Agile methodologies and tools: Jira, Confluence, GIT.
12. Strategical thinking, Innovative attitude to challenge status quo.
EDUCATION
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
1. 7+ years of experience in Springboot framework software development.
OTHER INFORMATION
1. Fluent in English.
2. Hybrid position (70% office 30% remote).
