We are offering a Postdoctoral position in our research laboratory, based in Paterna, Valencia (Spain).
The applicant will join a research team that is committed to investigating innovative methods to shift the diagnostic and therapeutic focus towards a precise and early preoperative assessment of gynecological tumors.
Our Organization
We are a non-profit organization founded and directed by Professor Carlos Simón, professor at the University of Valencia and renowned clinical researcher in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
We are a multidisciplinary team made up of more than 30 professionals. We work to create a world in which women's health pathologies that affect the uterus are no longer a barrier to their quality of life and reproductive desire.
Main Activities
Our main activity is biomedical research in the field of reproductive medicine and women's health, and the development of other initiatives and actions aimed at improving our knowledge in the field and its application.
We are affiliated with the University of Valencia and the INCLIVA Health Research Institute (IIS INCLIVA), accredited by the Carlos III Health Institute, promoting educational access for our students and fostering the research careers of our research team.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Contribute expertise in molecular and cellular biology, and gene editing tools and to aid development and advancement of the research.
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams, providing specialized knowledge and influence to maximize program speed and success.
• Provide ideas and perform research to identify new opportunities to develop studies related to the promotion and improvement of human reproduction.
• Directly work with a team of experimental scientists, maximizing employee productivity, engagement, and professional development.
• Write research papers, reports, reviews, book chapters, summaries and abstracts for scientific meetings.
• Perform the experimental procedures, related to human tissue culture, molecular biology, gene editing, etc.
• Conceive and execute new innovative project ideas.
• Contribute to the design and execution of laboratory experiments and to the analysis and interpretation of data.
• Represent and communicate results in the form of scientific articles and communications at prestigious international conferences.
• Attend national and international conferences to present the most relevant research results.
• Ensure excellent communication with stakeholders (e.g. project team and line management) and excellent interaction and collaboration with interfaces or externally with third parties or universities.
• Keep own knowledge up to date and learns from senior team members, proposing appropriate training courses for personal development.
• Review working practices and ensure that non-compliant processes are addressed.
• Engage technical and non-technical collaborators within the wider organisation to frame complex challenges, structure analytical solutions and communicate results.
Required Skills and Experience
• Ph.D. in molecular and/or cellular biology or related field.
• At least 5 publications in indexed journals.
• Participated in the management of tasks, packages, or subprojects in at least 1 project of national/international consortiums and/or projects/contracts with companies.
• Demonstrated productivity.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment and processes and supporting practices.
• Proven understanding and experience in the fields of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data processing, high-throughput data analysis.
• Working experience in bioinformatics, or computational/quantitative biology field.
• Organisation of data, protocols, and results: statistical analysis, computer literacy.
• Previous experience in writing scientific articles.
• Ability to work both in a group and independently.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent communication and management skills.

Labor Conditions
• The salary range for this position will depend on the suitability of the candidate for the requested profile.
