As a high-level product technology expert, you will provide the best technical consulting and solutions for customer applications to the sales teams, independent of the industry segments, with a strong focus on technologies.
You will take commercial considerations fully into account when proposing solutions. You will have turnover responsibility but not customer responsibility.
Key tasks:
* Onsite customer support for prototype startups to conduct "proof of concept," with good working knowledge of third-party PLC software, network configuration, and device integration coverage, including product sizing and selection.
* Main interface to Concept Engineer (Customer / Festo) for pre-defining technical concepts and technical support engineer.
* Discuss technical proposals to optimize machine performance with a strong focus on increasing component sales.
* Provide onsite technical product training for customers during installation.
* Provide technical support to sales and customers on applications independent of the industry segments.
* Focus on commercial (cost of ownership) and technical feasibility of proposals, based on deep technical product knowledge.
* Propose component and system-based solutions, mainly on standard products, in accordance with regulations (Machinery Directive, etc.).
* Create technical solutions taking all relevant technical interfaces into consideration.
* During the pre-sales phase, act as a technical product expert in close coordination with the sales engineer.
* Provide best practices (i.e., application notes) for the multiplication of standard applications and lessons learned for further improvement to win future opportunities.
* Support and provide ISM and BU with product gaps as input. Support in questions of norms and regulations.
* Identify and win projects based on excellent product and application knowledge. Support the commissioning of the project at the customer site in close alignment with the technical support engineer.
