This hybrid position is based in Madrid with flexible remote and office working.
We are looking for a Product Cabin Director
Mission
The Product Cabin Director is the director in the Cabin department. His/her mission is to manage the Cabin department. He/She is the maximum responsible of the department reporting to the chief engineer.
* Lead and coordinate the Cabin department under responsibility. With the help of technical experts arbitrate and take decisions.
* Schedule and lead departmental meetings and coordinate the departmental activities.
Report the status of the project to the chief engineer.
* Manage the risk and mitigations and assume the leadership of the risk management process.
* Monitoring of the product baseline and design changes that appear during the development of the project.
* Responsible for achieving the schedule.
* Manage the budget of the department when it is required by the chief engineer.
* Understand, review and supervise the existing processes and procedures in the department.
* Review, develop and apply new procedures when necessary to improve processes and productivity within the department.
* Lead the engineering team to success by providing support, training, resources and development to team members.
* Identify training or knowledge gaps within the department and organize or deliver workshops, or other training as needed.
* Assist the Safety manager in developing risk assessments and safe work procedures for tasks performed by staff.
* Assist in hiring and training new employees.
* Conduct regular performance reviews of team members and address any performance issues that may arise.
Requirements
* Degree in Design, Aeronautical Engineering, Management; equivalent qualification or experience demonstrating knowledge in aeronautical projects and/or interior design focused on mobility.
* A minimum of 6 year of experience working in aeronautical projects and/or interior design focused on mobility.
* A minimum of 2 year of experience as technical Sr manager or similar position.
Specific Knowledge
* Basic knowledge of Part 21.
* Knowledge of all the procedures of the company.
* Knowledge in budget management.
* Basic knowledge of the Certification Specifications related with the systems and disciplines applicable to the Cabin.
* Leadership and communication skills.
* Organizational and management skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge of aeronautical sector by means of qualification or experience.
* Knowledge of the following disciplines and systems: Human Factors.
