Job Overview
Avery Dennison seeks an experienced leader to oversee team operations and drive business results. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily activities, managing attendance and training programs, and monitoring team performance. They will also need to set priorities, coordinate work activities, and model the company's Code of Business Ethics and Values.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise team members, including coordinating daily activities, setting priorities, and ensuring task completion.
* Monitor and evaluate team members' performance, providing coaching and development opportunities as needed.
* Attract, retain, and develop high-potential talent, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
* Model and promote the company's Code of Business Ethics and Values.
* Perform general management duties, including staff performance appraisals, promotions, and terminations.
Operations
* Oversee receipt, storage, shipment, and reporting of materials in accordance with established procedures.
* Furnish reports to forecast estimates and schedules related to inventory, distribution, transportation, and/or production.
* Review effectiveness of operating procedures, maintenance, space utilization, and protection of equipment.
* Support analyses, analyze information for accuracy and completeness, and ensure supervised departments meet daily/annual goals.
* Assess and suggest new procedures and processes to increase efficiency.
* Work with other functions to identify opportunities to improve process effectiveness and implement improvement plans.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business, or related field.
* 3+ years SML or related experience; Supervisory or Lead experience preferred.
* Proficient understanding of Supply Chain, Materials Management, and Logistics concepts, practices, and procedures.
* Excellent analytical skills, oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
* Good project management and business partnering skills.
* Green Belt or ELS certification preferred.
* Excellent knowledge of Spanish and English.
