Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and well-connected Sales Manager – Import / Export & Logistics to play a critical role in driving the company’s commercial success. This is a high-impact leadership position, responsible for leveraging an existing client base, acquiring new customers, and expanding our market presence in international logistics.
The ideal candidate must be currently active in the market with a strong portfolio of clients involved in importing / exporting to and from Spain. Additionally, this role requires a minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the logistics industry (freight forwarding, transport, supply chain, etc.).
As a key member of the company, you will not only drive revenue growth but also help build and lead a high-performing sales team, shaping the company’s future sales strategy.
This is a hybrid role based in Barcelona, with some flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leverage an existing client base to generate immediate business in international freight forwarding (import / export).
2. Acquire new customers by actively prospecting and networking in the logistics and supply chain industry.
3. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow Paramount Express’s presence in air, ocean, and road freight.
4. Build and lead a high-performing sales team, playing a pivotal role in scaling the company’s commercial operations.
5. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
6. Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to refine sales approaches and stay ahead of the competition.
7. Work closely with operations and logistics teams to provide seamless supply chain solutions to clients.
8. Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through excellent relationship management and problem-solving.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Currently active in the logistics market with a strong client portfolio in international trade (importers / exporters working with Spain).
2. Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a logistics or freight forwarding company (mandatory).
3. Strong business development and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
4. Deep knowledge of international logistics, freight forwarding (air, ocean, road), and customs regulations.
5. Leadership experience or the ability to build and manage a sales team.
6. Excellent communication skills in English & Spanish (additional languages are a plus).
7. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.
