Role summary
We are looking for an experienced and well-versed account manager, who will be responsible for developing new clients and conduct solution-selling for to our clients.
Duties and responsibilities
* Sales Strategy and Execution: Identify and pursue sales prospects within the assigned territory, develop and execute quarterly sales plans to generate new business and meet quotas, analyze cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to maximize revenue.
* Customer Engagement and Consultative Selling: Apply a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs, follow up on leads within 24 hours and maintain ongoing client communication, attend client meetings, technological briefings, and trade shows.
* Proposal Development and Contract Management: Create accurate and competitive price quotations and bid responses, prepare contracts and pricing strategies for target accounts, submit all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
* Collaboration and Handoff Coordination: Work closely with the installation team to ensure seamless project transitions, monitor non-installed products and provide updates as needed.
* Sales Tools and Reporting: Actively use internal databases for client tracking and activity logging, provide regular sales forecasts and activity reports to management, participate in weekly sales meetings and share insights.
* Marketing and Outreach Initiatives: Design and implement prospecting tools like webinars, seminars, and campaigns, build professional relationships with manufacturer sales and engineering teams, participate in training and ongoing professional development activities.
Skills and abilities
* At least 8 – 10 years’ experience of direct selling in the AV/VTC area is a preferred
* Demonstrated track record of selling Video Conferencing, Managed Services, and Network Infrastructure business preferred.
* Demonstrated experience selling but not limited to: network services, unified communications, VoIP, SIP, H.323, Cisco Telepresence, Tandberg, Polycom, Lifesize, Extron, Creston, AMX products, as well as integration, professional and managed services.
* Ability to understand, present and demonstrate visual collaboration products and services to end user customers.
* Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities, while working independently and meeting deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Must have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally on all hierarchy levels.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
