JOB DESCRIPTION: MARKETING MANAGER
ReTree's purpose is to protect and strengthen nature against climate change.
We do this by offering conscious and innovative solutions to business (B2B) reforest areas in risk of desertification. We plant a variety of local species of trees and bushes that offset carbon, generate biodiversity, and impact local communities.
Our approach involves monitoring the CO2 offset by every tree we plant using our in-house algorithm that estimates the tons of carbon offset, the weeks of rural employment generated and the positive impact in terms of water resources.
We are a young team of 14 people based in Madrid and after 4 years in the business we are now looking for a person (she/he/them) to help us define and implement our Marketing Strategy.
Your Role:
This is a full-time Marketing Manager role with ReTree, based in Madrid with a hybrid working policy (remote and in office). This position will report to the Managing Director.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and generate high-quality leads.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B, with a deep understanding of digital marketing, content creation, SEO, paid media campaigns and advertising.
This role includes managing external marketing agencies to deliver services in SEO, web consulting, social media management, and campaigns.
The ideal candidate will bring a unique creative vision and the ability to differentiate ReTree in the market, positioning the company as a leader in sustainability and innovation and bringing qualified leads for the sales department. This role requires a creative thinker with strong analytical and organizational skills and passion for sustainability and nature protection.
Your Challenge:
Strategy Development & Execution:
* Develop and implement a long-term integrated marketing strategy to enhance brand awareness and drive lead generation.
* Define and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, product development) to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts.
Content Marketing & SEO:
* Lead the development of content marketing strategies, including blogs, case studies, and webinars.
* Optimize content for SEO to improve organic search visibility and drive qualified traffic to the website.
Web Optimization & Management:
* Redefine and optimize the company website (retreetheplanet.com) to serve as a powerful sales and lead generation tool.
* Collaborate with our in-house web developers and designers to enhance user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
Digital Advertising & Social Media:
* Manage and optimize PPC campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads.
* Develop and implement social media strategies to engage target audiences and amplify brand presence.
Lead Generation & Nurturing:
* Create and manage landing pages, lead magnets, and email marketing campaigns to capture and nurture leads.
* Utilize inbound marketing tools and CRM systems to track and analyze lead data, ensuring effective lead management and conversion.
Event Marketing & Networking:
* Plan and execute participation in industry events, webinars, and conferences to generate leads and build brand authority.
* Lead the whole planning and execution of ReTree’s annual event (ROOTS).
* Develop partnerships and alliances with industry organizations and other relevant entities.
Reporting, Monitoring & KPI Tracking:
* Monitor, report, and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns using analytics tools.
* Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives and inform strategic decisions.
* Conduct market research to identify trends and insights, refining marketing strategies accordingly.
Agency Management:
* Manage relationships with external marketing agencies providing SEO, web consulting, social media management, and campaign services.
* Oversee agency deliverables, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timelines.
* Evaluate agency performance and provide feedback to optimize results.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration & Marketing. Specific expertise on Digital Marketing is required.
* Strong sense of purpose. Sustainability or impact business background highly preferred.
* At least 5 years’ experience in a similar managing role, preferably in a startup environment.
* Creative. Able to think outside the box and bring fresh, original ideas to the table, crafting unique marketing strategies that set ReTree apart and successfully engage with target audiences.
* Strategic & long-term thinker. Skilled in developing long-term marketing plans aligned with Business OKRs.
* Good understanding of basic financial principles, budgeting, cost analysis, marketing data and campaign efficiency metrics.
* Leadership & Team Management to motivate both internal teams and external agencies ensuring everyone works towards common goals.
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

* Proficient use of Social Media, CRM (Hubspot), inbound and email marketing platforms, and MS Office suite.
* Familiar with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) would be a plus.

What do we offer?
* Salary base of 35.000-45.000 eur gross depending on experience + 15% bonus
* Hybrid contract based in Madrid (Vinateros). Work from home a 80% of the time if you want.
* Flexible working hours.
* Holidays: base of 25 days off + 5 extra days.
* Summertime (July and August): remote work within the CET time zone and working hours reduced from 8h30 to 15h30.
* This is a long-term project. We want our teams to develop their skills and grow with us.
