To provide quality control by performing dimensional inspection of parts using standard measuring tools and documenting all efforts.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Perform fastener inspection using micrometers, calipers, thread gages, and our optical comparator.
2. Read and interpret fastener drawings such as NAS and AS standards, customer drawings, and related specifications.
3. Complete receiving inspection records.
4. Review certification packages for completion and accuracy.
5. Document all inspection and verification activities.
Nature and Scope
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently need to lift 40-50 pounds, spend time in a warehouse that may not be temperature controlled, and experience noise and other distractions. This position does not require supervision of others; however, a certain level of coaching skills and teamwork are necessary to assist team members with less experience.
Background Experience and Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum 2 years working as an Inspector C or equivalent.
3. Basic computer skills.
4. Ability to understand instructions given in oral, written, or diagram form.
5. Experience with inventory software such as Vpro.
6. Proficiency with standard fastener inspection tools, including the optical comparator.
7. The ability to work as part of a team and explain inspection techniques to others.
8. The ability to lift 40-50 pounds.
9. Excellent mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
10. Willingness to continue training and development to self-enhance personal skills.
