JOIN THE TEAM
We focus on digital solutions for BASF’s service units and bundle expertise for core systems. Our Team “Database Management” accountable to enable and support digitalization for relational and noSQL Database Solutions and process automation globally, lead and coordinate BASF’s Databases, the data foundation for BASF Group, across all units of Global Digital Services. We are designing and taking care of IT Mergers & Acquisitions, implementing a modern infrastructure and drive BASF’s cloud strategy to have almost 100% of our applications in the cloud in the next decade.
You will help to develop, implement, ensure, and frequently pen-test the Cyber Security for our global non-SAP Database Solutions, working together with the Product Manager, Product Owner, and the Database Administrator (DBAs).
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Introduce and continuously maintain security in Oracle and MS-SQL Databases on Linux and MS-Windows.
* Apply CIS Benchmark compliant configuration templates for databases.
* Continuously keep the technical security configuration up to date.
* Enable vulnerability management process integration covering the entire technology stack.
* Develop and implement a risk-based approach.
* Develop and maintain base database security concepts consumed in BASF.
* Be a sparring partner for other product families and BASF Divisions to support and consult in security best practices in the specific area of expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Several years of administrative experience with Oracle and MS-SQL database systems.
* Very strong communication skills.
* Business Consulting and Technical Consulting skills.
* Ability to work flexibly and agile with a DevOps mindset.
* An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to foster a positive and energized culture.
* A growth mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.
* Team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
