Bring the Noise, a leading Spanish festivals operator with seven well-established live music events in the North-West region of Spain (Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria), is looking for a new addition to its team. Reporting directly to the Financial Planning & Controlling Manager and with HQ in Gijon, this is a key financial role, supporting management in decision-making through financial planning & analysis, reporting, cost control and evaluation of commercial opportunities.
Resurrection Fest is an iconic reference of metal, rock and punk in Spain, and one of the most important festivals in the genre in Europe. Since its launch in 2006, world-renowned groups such as Iron Maiden, Korn, Motörhead, Kiss, Scorpions, Rammstein and Slipknot have travelled to Viveiro to perform at Resurrection Fest.
Taking place in Santiago de Compostela, O Son do Camiño is one of Galicia’s most relevant cultural events and the only music show bringing mainstream international acts such as Green Day, The Chemical Brothers, The Killers, Martin Garrix and David Guetta to the Galicia-Asturias region. In the years since its inception in 2018, the festival has successfully positioned itself as a “must-go-to” festival, with all its editions sold out in record time.
Bring the Noise’s festival portfolio also includes Tsunami Xixon, having previously hosted The Offspring, The Prodigy, Kaiser Chiefs, The Hives and NOFX among others – Morriña Fest, a festival in the city of A Coruña where, since 2018, international bands such as The Black Eyed Peas, Bizarrap, Franz Ferdinand or Maluma have been performing attracting thousands of people to enjoy live music, and also festivals like Caudal Fest and Sonórica and more to come in the near future. Bring the Noise’s Tours portfolio increases in importance year by year, including events in relevant venues like Vistalegre, Movistar Arena or Sant Jordi.
What we are looking for:
* 1+ year of experience in accounting, controlling, audit, or similar finance position (e.g. financial planning & analysis). Audit experience is considered as a plus
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field from a reputed institution
* Financial, analytical and Business Intelligence skills
* Excel and Google Sheets user with ability to manipulate large volumes of data
* Master’s degree in accounting or audit will be considered as a plus
* Fluent or advanced proficiency in English both speaking and writing. Level C1 or B2 Level
* Good communication skills with ability to work in a small team
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Strong work ethic and sense of personal responsibility for work outcomes
* Flexibility to work on a variety of projects and tasks
* Driving license and flexibility to work from the festivals, especially in June and July
* Experience of working with events and/or an interest in music festivals considered as positive
ROLESFinancial Planning
* Work to deliver high quality, timely & accurate financial budgets, forecasts and relevant KPIs, ensuring effective challenge
* Weekly co-operation with budget holders to monitor variances against budget/forecasts and propose corrective actions with the support of the heads of departments
* Prepare reports and track trends & variance against plans
* Prepare presentations about the latest performance and gap vs plans
* Review year-end performance and interpret results, identify trends proactively, highlighting issues, working with the heads of departments to plan appropriate actions mitigating risks
Controlling and Reporting
* Accompany the reporting of monthly closing process in the reporting consolidation software
* Co-operate in the annual audit process
* Work with different teams to obtain the outcome of the events in a timely manner
* Support the implementation of special projects (e.g. IT systems)
* Conduct monthly review of the General Ledger and cash flow management
Management Information
* Commercial reporting including the compilation of weekly and monthly dashboards
* Support in preparation of weekly and monthly reports, board papers and presentations
* Ensure the timely delivery of insightful management information to the departments and proactively recommend solutions to support decision-making
Insurance and Others
* Support to deliver cost-effective insurance policies and ensure proper archiving of legal documents
* To maintain an up-to-date record of controlled insurance policies to ensure all potential risks are covered
* Participate in the process of exchange rates hedging hand in hand with Financial Planning & Controlling Manager
