The Opportunity
This position works out of our Valencia (Spain) location in the Diabetes division. We're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As a District Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the generation of new ADC business, as well as for the maintenance of existing business, growing the sales in a particular area of the country, following strictly, throughout moment, the code ethical in force and under the company values. You will manage the people under his/her responsibility as a coach in the ethical way with the objective of work towards the excellence and supervise and mentor staff, proactively supporting their professional development.
What You'll Do
* Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements.
* Sales planning and follow up (establishes yearly territory sales plans (Territory Action Plan), implements sales strategies)
* Coach the people under their responsibility doing dual visit on the field according with the instructions given for the company.
* Supports the sales representatives in maintaining and expanding customers, collects information on competitors' sales, prices, benefits and products, implementing market strategies. Responsible for keeping update the segmentation and targeting customer file of the district.
* Empower and favour their work and that of their team with other departments of the company.
* Be an effective bidirectional communication channel ensuring that the company´s strategy and instructions are understood by its team and by collecting/communicating to the management doubts and concerns that he can´t resolve.
* Maintains good customer relationship and visits especially key customers on a regular basis.
* Initiates and runs meetings with the Sales Force.
* Has full people management responsibility for all district sales staff (defines departments objectives, responsibilities of his/her staff, team and personal goals; gives honest feedback to his staff regarding their performance)
Required Qualifications
* University Degree in Science or High School Degree with at least 5 years experience
* Comprehensive knowledge of diabetes and its treatment
* People management/leadership coaching way.
* Has a good PC knowledge and good written and oral English knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knows ADC market (scientific background and use of the products) and the various laboratories
* Knows ADC products
* Knows and applies ADC procedures, policies and code of business conduct.
