Job Description:
Are you an experienced back-end developer with extensive experience in Java and Spring Boot? Would you be interested in working for one of Europe’s leading consumer electronics retailers based in the heart of Barcelona?
We have a fantastic opportunity for you in a multicultural, young, and dynamic environment!
You will work with a talented crew of software engineers in a cross-functional team. You will design and develop solutions on the cloud-based technology platform as part of the team and closely collaborate with the business product owner.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Create and run services related to marketing and business.
2. Develop microservices from the front end to the database.
3. Ensure software quality with a suitable level of test coverage.
4. Guarantee efficient functioning.
5. Teach less experienced team members through pair programming and knowledge-sharing sessions.
6. Work with agile software development approaches like SCRUM, Kanban, and pair programming.
7. Own the services you create, including running and repairing them.
Core Skills/Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
2. Extensive knowledge of Spring Boot.
3. At least four years of relevant experience in developing agile and digital products.
4. Comfortable with databases like Oracle or MongoDB and possess a strong understanding of Java and React/Kotlin.
5. Passionate about creating products.
6. Team-oriented with experience in developing large software systems; knowledge of e-commerce, microservices, NoSQL databases, REST, Spring Boot, DevOps, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (preferably GCP) is a plus.
7. Experience with TypeScript and React is helpful.
