Product Specialist
Overview:
As a Product Specialist within the Product Management Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the product strategy for a key MDA product category in Spain. You will work closely with the Marketing Director (MkD), cross-functional teams, and regional stakeholders to drive market share growth, ensure product competitiveness, and execute the product plan to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Integrated in and Product Management Team, under Marketing Director (MkD) supervision, will be responsible to set product strategies for strategic MDA product category to prepare yearly plan to reach business objectives and Market Share in Spain.
* Develop a deep market analysis to monitor the market & competition: trade research in direct contact with dealers, product feature, design, price positioning & placement benchmarks and analysis. Monthly Gfk reporting and E-commerce benchmarks. Market mapping and retail price research (web and store visits).
* Benchmark market to clarify product range and decide correct positioning and set pricing strategies.
* Develop with MkD, other Product Specialists and Sales Teams the optimum product range to increase market share, efficiency & profitability of the segments. Define the set-up of the new models with all relevant departments and Regional Product Management to ensure smooth introduction of the range and discontinue models.
* Deployment of Product Categories strategies, NPI plans and stocks efficiency evaluation. Prepare / support / localize Product and Marketing Presentations and development of materials required for Dealers and Market.
* Follow up on products development to ensure that all products launched into Spanish market meets all legal requirements (user manuals, safety standards/certifications, information on the product) and ready for Sale (product communication, training materials, reason why documentation) for Sales Team and ready for Market (Dealers product sheets, sales arguments).
* Follow the profitability of products and improve it with coordination of HQ Product team by cost saving projects and new product introduction. Communicate the discontinued and newly introduced models with plant and Supply Chain. Communicate internally and manage the SAP, Teamcenter and other system entries related to product management.
* Support the Marketing operations in any reasonable task to ensure best possible image of the Company and its Brands, especially related with Product Communication.
* Provide internal support for product related issues including customer setup sheets and spec sheets. Preparation and Development of Product Trainings to all stakeholders.
* Quick and efficient product queries resolution
Requirements/Experience/Skills:
* Native Spanish and fluent English. Added value knowing Catalan.
* 1-2 years experience in product management, in Home Appliances industry, producer, distributor or dealer.
* High technical knowledge of products and Spanish market dynamics.
* Office applications, SAP Analyzer, Gfk & any IT/digital tool expertise
* Decision-making skills / soft skills driving company behaviour and teamwork
* Analysis capabilities and well structured
* Networking and cooperation with other departments
* Digital skills, experienced in market research and segmentation
* Project Management knowledge.
* Understanding of Customer Journey
* Good background on law regulations concerning technical requirements of products (CE marking, labelling, user manuals, safety standards, etc.)
