Job Description:

We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer, with the speciality of Mechanical/Materials, for our Inspection Department, depending on Procurement Area for EPC projects.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Review of Project Specifications (Manufacturing, Quality Control). Detection of Quality Control requirements to be included in the Purchase Orders (POs).
2. Internal review of Quality Control requirements included in the POs before its issuance to the Vendors.
3. Review and comment Vendor manufacturing documents of the assigned Purchase Orders (e.g. Reactors, Columns, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Fired Heaters, Reformers, Package Units, Piping Material, Instruments, etc.). Main documents are: Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Manufacturing Purchase Specification, Test Procedures, Visual/Dimensional Control Procedure, Final Quality Dossier, etc.
4. Plan, coordinate and schedule workshop inspection visits with all Inspection Representatives (Vendor, TR, Client).
5. Lead the Pre-Inspection Meetings for the applicable POs.
6. Request (internally and to external Inspection Agencies) and select adequate inspectors to cover all related inspection activities according to the applicable ITPs.
7. Handle Notice of Inspections (NOIs) with all involved parties (Vendor, TR, Client).
8. Attend critical Inspection Visits when needed.
9. Review, control and distribute Inspection Reports.
10. Manage NCRs with Vendor and Client.
11. Participate in meetings with the rest of Project Areas and Disciplines (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) as needed. Team working with Technical Departments and with the rest of the Project Inspection Team.
12. Deal with Client Inspection Representatives, attending meetings with them when necessary.
13. Maintain fluent communication with Vendors to assure that Vendor understands all comments and Project requirements, aiming for a smooth manufacturing process.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
2. 5+ years’ experience in quality control of manufacturing of static equipment, package units, valves, and piping components. Experience in producing/reviewing manufacturing and quality documents.
3. Knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, NACE Codes.
4. Experience with materials used in the Oil & Gas industry (Carbon Steel, Low Alloy Steel, Austenitic Stainless Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel, Ni Alloys, etc.).
5. Knowledge of NDTs (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET).
6. Fluent English written and spoken (B2-C1).
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
1. International Welding Engineer / Certified Welding Inspector (CWI/CSWIP).
2. BGAS/NACE/FROSIO Painting and Coating Qualification.
3. API Certifications (936, 570, 571, SIFE, SIRE).
Based in Madrid, occasional business trips may be required.
