Job Description
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Global Strategic Partnership Manager in the Microarray genotyping team.
Essential functions
Collaborators' coordination and visibility (50%)
* Identify key collaborators/KOLs in predictive genomics, such as scientists/academia, policymakers, and citizens/patients.
* Establish relationships with key leaders in Human Predictive Genomics and agrigenomics globally to drive value for the Microarray business.
* Work with regional and global marketing teams to craft and implement the KOL strategy.
* Develop compelling content and arguments in favor of predictive genomics and agrigenomics, including briefings, social media posts, opinion pieces, and scientific articles.
* Increase visibility and awareness about predictive genomics through social media, targeted meetings, and participation in conferences/congresses and publications.
* Participate in national, regional, and global events relevant to Predictive Genomics, including scientific congresses and policy events.
Market analysis and intelligence gathering (40%)
* Analyze trends in science, policy, funding, and markets to identify significant opportunities in Predictive Genomics and Agrigenomics.
* Monitor scientific developments, including publications, clinical trial results, and scientific society guidelines.
* Keep track of political and policy changes related to human and agricultural genotyping.
* Craft the long-term development of Predictive Genomics by providing regular intelligence reports to business and commercial leadership.
* Foster partnerships within genetic sciences business units to improve internal visibility and collaboration.
Pre-sales activities & marketing (10%)
* Identify and accelerate big deal opportunities across EMEA.
* Support lead generation activities, including KOL mapping, literature searches, and introductions.
* Assist TSS with pre-sales activities, including providing market intelligence and training.
* Help present our value proposition by joining customer calls/visits as needed.
* Support regional marketing efforts, including event participation and lead generation.
Qualifications
* 5+ years’ experience in science diplomacy, public affairs, medical affairs, or related fields.
* Deep knowledge of funding programs, health and science policies, with a focus on genomics.
* Demonstrated ability to network effectively with diverse collaborators in science and policy.
* Understanding of international, European, and national research structures.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Strong knowledge of genomics market trends and funding bodies.
* Robust network connections in Life Sciences.
* Ability to manage complex projects and multitask effectively.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
* Proactive, autonomous, and motivated.
* Standout colleague mentality.
* Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
* High flexibility and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
