What are we looking for?
The Operational Excellence Engineer will develop, implement and oversee TPM (total productive maintenance) program using continuous improvement and lean methods, as well as monitoring progress of change with the different sites of the company.
Facilitate progress and site engagement by delivering targeted OPex events across the business encouraging collaborative cross functional engagement with all staff members. To coach, mentor, guide and use technical expertise to promote the benefits of OPex as an integral part of our company culture.
The challenge!
* Analysis and review of data and improvement opportunities of each step of production processes (including logistics) till product delivery: production and machine incidents related to raw materials and breakdowns, timings, production flow, productivity and waste reduction reports, workforce Organization, process and logistics flows...
* Improvement initiatives proposal, assessment, and implementation in the production site by estimating processes and layouts with the aim to increase capacity and reduce costs: build processes and working instructions and propose the necessary training for employees.
* KPI design, set up and follow up to ensure continuous improvement performance, optimization and efficiency implementing CI culture.
* Closely work and collaborate with Production, Quality, Health and Safety and Environment departments and with other departments to roll out all the initiatives, build knowledge and understanding of CI initiatives with all site employees through engagement and training to promote best practice and standardization across the business
* Identify training needs, involve, and train employees when necessary to contribute to a successful implementation of CI initiatives g. 5S, A3 problem solving, VSM, SMED, TPM, Kaizen etc.)
What do you need?
* TPM knowledge and experience
* Comprehensive project management: automation and optimization of processes, machines, and tools; optimization of materials and waste; facilities improvement and upgrading...
* Identification and development of continuous improvement initiatives (quality/cost) to drive improved operational performance
* Demonstrable experience of implementation of TPM culture and methodology within a manufacturing environment
* Operational knowledge of Kaizen / Lean principals
* Outstanding management and project management skills
* Use of visual management and setting performance criteria
* Knowledge of Right First-Time ways of working
* High level of computer skills. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Knowledge of SAP PM
