Job Purpose
The Experienced Procurement Specialist will play a critical role in managing the procurement lifecycle, ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies while maintaining quality and compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and optimizing procurement processes to support the company’s tolling and mobility solutions.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency in purchasing goods and services.
* Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, performance evaluations, and contract management.
* Source and evaluate vendors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
* Lead RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes for key procurement initiatives.
* Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and finance teams, to align procurement activities with business needs.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to procurement and contract management.
* Management and processing of the Purchase Orders according to the rules in force within the Company and contribute to the budgetary control of expenses.
* Management/monitoring and evaluations of the vendors.
* Support risk management initiatives by assessing vendor reliability and identifying potential supply chain risks.
* Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in procurement and supply chain management.
Requirements
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) is a plus.
Experience:
* 4+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the mobility, tolling, transportation, or infrastructure industries.
* Experience with procurement tools and ERP systems. Previous experience with SAP (Purchasing & Vendor Mgt Module) would be a plus.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in procurement.
* Experience in contract management and supplier negotiations.
* Proven track record of identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
