We are looking for a skilled Key Account Manager to join our Healthcare Division and oversee the relationships of the company with its most important Dental/Non Acute distributors clients in Spain and Portugal.
You will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long-term key customers by comprehending their requirements. The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers.
You will be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our company’s solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction. The goal is to contribute to sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.
What You Will Do:
1. Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients distributors to ensure they do not turn to competition.
2. Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
3. Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
4. Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
5. Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
6. Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
7. Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
8. Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics and company tools (SFDC…).
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Economics or Business Administration.
2. Knowledge of Infection Prevention in dental and/or medical settings.
3. Fluent Spanish and English.
4. Portuguese is a plus.
5. Proven experience as key account manager (3 years of experience minimum).
6. Experience in sales with dealers and providing solutions based on customer needs (managing/driving a network of distributors, implementing commercial strategies, incentive plans, designed for distributors; familiar with distributor KPIs and scope card).
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
8. Excellent organizational skills.
9. Ability in problem-solving and negotiation.
10. Knowledge of Healthcare sector, Dental / Non acute preferred.
11. Consolidated experience in managing distributor/reseller.
12. A good strategic view on how to build a distributor network: geographical coverage, coverage by product segment, ability to identify the right partner.
13. A true charisma is required, as the KAM needs to convince customers and create a positive dynamic with the customers.
14. Ready to travel, this is a field game and the area to cover is Spain and Portugal (up to 60%-80%).
15. Excellent negotiation skills, distributors are often strong negotiators.
16. Learning agility, the KAM will have to know perfectly our products and how to use them.
17. Good ability to create a strong and trustful relationship with Ecolab Management Team.
18. Competencies in Analytics, Demand Management Planning / Business Planning (inventory management), Capacity Review, Marketing / Communication and Training.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of public tenders.
2. Knowledge of disinfection.
