In 2013, Analab was incorporated into the Van Walt group, headquartered in the UK with further offices in South Africa and New Zealand.Analab specialises in the sale and rental of equipment for environmental soil and water monitoring. Within its programme, Analab is responsible for the provision and installation of equipment designed and manufactured by the Van Walt Group.Analab is now seeking an experienced colleague to join the existing team.Job Title:Technical Sales ManagerJob Description:Analab is a small business, and as such, the job requires general flexibility to carry out any task which might arise, even if that task falls outside the scope of the job title. Responsibilities will include:The preparation and dispatch of equipment.Installation of telemetric and/or other material.Commercial aspects involving the fulfilment of quotations for the customer.Service, backup, and training of the customer.Skills Requirement:A competent level in matters relating to IT and specifically in the use of the Microsoft suite of software.A proven record of technical abilities in the calibration and maintenance of scientific equipment used in the environmental sector.A methodical mind which can relate to the diagnostics and maintenance of equipment supplied by Analab.An ability to communicate technical matters to customers (and internally) both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. It is assumed that the candidate will have Spanish as their mother tongue, but fluency in Catalan is an absolute requirement.A fluent knowledge of the English language.An ability to integrate and work within a small team.The Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate will have an intimate knowledge of the Spanish soil and groundwater sector. They will be conversant with current statutory regulations not only in Catalonia but across the Spanish regions. The candidate will have a proven record and should be familiar with the workings of environmental consultancies, relevant government agencies, and research organisations. Whereas immediate and ongoing product training will be given, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of equipment habitually used in this sector.Remuneration:The remuneration package will be discussed with the candidate and will take account of the candidate’s skill sets and experience.Hours of Work:Generally, it is envisaged that the hours of work will be from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
