Job Description Summary
NUO is the Digital Asset Management Platform developed by Vector Renewables and designed for asset managers, owners, EPC and O&M contractors to manage portfolios of renewable energy assets. Vector uses NUO to manage its 5.4 GW portfolio of assets under management and is willing to push commercially to sell the platform as a SaaS on the market. We are hiring a Sales Manager to support the commercial expansion of NUO in the global renewable energy market by leveraging Vector Renewables geographical footprint. The role will be located in the Vector Renewables’s Madrid office. The selected candidate will be part of the international sales team reporting directly to the company’s Commercial Director.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deepen her/his knowledge of the renewable energy market and be in direct contact with the major players of the sectors, both national and international, across the full value chain, from development to operations.
Job Description
Main Responsibilities
1. Lead the origination of commercial opportunities to hit, and possibly exceed, NUO sales targets globally.
2. Increase NUO network worldwide to identify new prospects.
3. Proactively organize and be involved in meetings/calls with clients or prospects.
4. Update the commercial interactions in the company CRM.
5. Lead in the preparation of commercial proposals with the support of the NUO team, ensuring that proposals are issued in accordance with the company’s procedures and standards.
6. Maintain an updated log of the commercial proposals issued to clients using the company CRM and report on it monthly during the Company’s commercial meetings.
7. Report to senior management on NUO sales.
8. Work closely with the international sales team to ensure that the Company’s geographic footprint is fully exploited.
9. Lead, with the support of the marketing team, in the organization of events and webinars to promote NUO services and its brand in the industry.
10. Participate actively at industry events as a speaker or moderator to promote NUO.
11. Collect feedback and price benchmarks on rejected proposals and report to senior management to improve service quality and pricing strategy.
12. Run autonomous and effective demo sessions to showcase NUO to prospective clients.
13. Understand who NUO competitors are to ensure the deployed commercial action has an edge over them.
14. Provide detailed feedback to the NUO team on the tool from prospects.
15. Engage with the marketing team and NUO team to create online marketing content and strengthen the NUO brand in accordance with the company targets.
Desired Requirements
The selected candidate will be a self-starter, fast learner with strong interpersonal skills and a “can do attitude”. The selected candidate must demonstrate knowledge and full understanding of asset management of renewable energy plants (wind, solar, BESS), data acquisition and communication as well as main monitoring systems available on the market. She/he will need to be a team player, having to interact with different members of the international commercial team as well as the NUO team. An engineering background or previous experience in the renewable energy sector is mandatory for the role. The following previous work experience would be considered a significant plus:
1. Asset management, EPC or O&M of renewable assets.
2. Sales or Business Development experience.
3. Role within a company offering digital AM/monitoring of renewable energy assets.
4. Existing network in the global renewable energy market.
A minimum of 5 years working experience is required. Optimal level of English (both written and spoken). Spanish and Italian are considered a plus.
