Software and M&C Senior Engineer - IRIS2
Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.
To be part of this project, we are looking for a Software and M&C Senior Engineer whose responsibilities will be as follows:
Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and trade-off critical Ground Segment Requirements and make the flow-down to M&C and Supervision Systems.
2. Define the Monitoring and Control and Supervision requirements for Infrastructure and Services.
3. Define the high-level Software Architecture for the Monitoring and Control and Supervision of Infrastructure, as well as for the Monitoring/Supervision and reporting of Services.
4. Define implementation and test plans for proposed Software Subsystems and provide technical follow-up of subcontractors' activities related to design, requirements compliance, development, and validation of the subsystems.
5. Support higher-level integration of the subcontractor subsystems in the system.
6. During the operational phase, act as the technical point of contact for any anomalies that might occur and support the technical resolution of the issues.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
3. Good knowledge of Linux Operating System principles.
4. Knowledge of networking and distributed systems principles.
5. Knowledge about virtualization and cloud platforms.
6. Knowledge of satellite communications.
7. Experience in managing technology projects.
8. Native to an EU member state and willing to undergo an EU secret clearance process.
9. Fluency in English, both written and spoken; any other European language is considered an asset.
