About the position
We are looking for a skilled Innovation Manager to join the lab’s growing team. Reporting to the group Head of Innovation, you will drive innovation projects and build innovation capabilities throughout the group. This role is hybrid and based in Valencia, although Alicante and Castellón are other possible locations. Occasional travel to the group’s manufacturing sites is required, depending on the active projects. Specifically, we are looking for a candidate that blends a broad set of innovation skills with specific know-how in the composite materials or the manufacturing industry in general.
Key Responsibilities
1. Innovation projects
Plan and follow up on innovation projects, identifying and managing risks, and engaging stakeholders—both internal and external—to ensure impactful delivery. Execute assigned projects’ workplans, which may include:
2. Performing desktop and field research to gain a deep understanding of the project’s scope (market, technology, regulatory, user, etc.).
3. Designing solutions, and building mock-ups, prototypes, and other artifacts.
4. Formulating and running experiments to validate, discard, or iterate concepts (technical feasibility, market fit, usability, regulation).
5. Shaping business cases to describe the economics of a new solution.
6. Producing progress reports for internal stakeholders.
Other activities
Explore diverse opportunities for innovation under incubation in collaboration with other stakeholders. This covers different directions depending on the candidate’s skillset, including market, technologies, materials, legal, user, partnerships, etc. Develop relationships with external stakeholders that can potentially drive our open innovation model.
Requirements
Must-have:
- At least 5 years of hands-on work experience in applied innovation, with a proven track record of impact-delivering work.
- Solid project management skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (B2 or C1 level).
