The Role
Matrix Renewables is seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Communications and Marketing to lead and optimize all aspects of internal and external communication. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring clear, effective, and aligned communication across all levels, regions, and departments of the organization while strengthening Matrix's external brand and presence. Reporting to the CEO, the role will address communication challenges that impact day-to-day business, inter-departmental collaboration, regional operations, and strategic alignment, while driving brand visibility and external stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Internal Communication: Develop and implement an internal communication strategy to ensure alignment across departments, regions, and functions. Improve the quality and effectiveness of day-to-day communications, ensuring key messages are clear and actionable. Partner with leadership to enhance top-down communication and foster a culture of transparency and engagement.
2. External Communication: Oversee external communication strategies, including public relations, media relations, and stakeholder engagement. Lead efforts to revamp and modernize the company's website to better reflect Matrix's values, mission, and brand identity. Drive brand-building initiatives to increase awareness and enhance Matrix's reputation in the renewable energy sector.
3. Strategic and Leadership Communication: Work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and disseminate strategic messaging. Assist in the preparation of key presentations, announcements, and updates to stakeholders. Ensure leadership messages resonate across levels and regions.
4. Employee Engagement: Collaborate with HR to implement communication initiatives that improve employee engagement and satisfaction. Manage feedback channels to understand and address employee concerns or suggestions.
5. Operational Communication: Standardize communication practices for meetings, updates, and reporting across the organization. Support the creation of templates and frameworks to streamline consistent communication.
Qualifications:
Experience:
12 years in corporate communications, internal communications, and external branding or marketing roles. Proven experience leading website redesigns and digital transformation projects. Experience in multinational or high-growth organizations preferred.
Skills:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Expertise in internal and external communications, brand-building, and operational messaging. Fluent English (spoken and written) is essential.
