About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales or business development professional with a strong background in the steel industry and a solid understanding of the defence sector.
The ideal candidate has a proven ability to navigate complex procurement processes, negotiate high-value contracts, and drive sustainable growth in a competitive market.
Strong relationship management and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to develop tailored solutions that meet the specific requirements of defence clients.
A technical understanding of steel products, alloys, and specialized manufacturing processes is an advantage, along with the flexibility to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development – Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive growth and expand market share within the Defence sector.
2. Key Account Management – Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with Defence contractors, government bodies, and key decision-makers.
3. Market Expansion – Identify new business opportunities and develop tailored solutions to meet client needs.
4. Collaboration & Compliance – Work closely with internal teams (production and quality assurance) to ensure product compliance with Defence industry standards.
5. Industry Expertise – Stay ahead of market trends, regulations, and technological advancements in Defence-grade steel to maintain a competitive edge.
6. Contract Negotiation – Lead negotiations and contract discussions, ensuring profitable and long-term partnerships.
7. Project Management – Oversee the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement to contract execution and after-sales support, working closely with the internal special sales team.
