What's the Challenge?
As a Senior SSA Engineer, you'll drive the design, implementation, and development of advanced SSA systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and meet project goals. You'll focus on the optimization and reliability of SSA sensors and algorithms, contributing to better real-time tracking, sensor scheduling, and data analysis.
Your Contributions Will Include:
Designing, testing, and optimizing SSA algorithms based on sensor data to address project requirements.
Implementing advanced algorithms for sensor scheduling, tasking, and cataloguing space objects.
Defining system requirements, detailed designs, and both internal and external interfaces while ensuring traceability to user and customer needs.
Troubleshooting and optimizing systems to enhance performance and reliability.
Collaborating with global stakeholders, including agencies, mission planners, and operators, to ensure effective coordination.
What Do We Need?
The ideal candidate is an expert in algorithm development and optimization for SSA systems and is ready to lead key aspects of our cutting-edge projects. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Required Skills:
Expertise in algorithm definition, implementation, and optimization.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Fortran, Python, and Java.
Experience working with legacy code and Linux environments.
Familiarity with Git for version control.
Knowledge of orbital dynamics, propagation, and ground-based sensor planning methodologies.
Proven experience in creating and maintaining space object catalogues.
Additional valued skills include:
Knowledge of SSA environments and tools like Orekit.
Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD.
Experience in project documentation creation and requirements definition.
Expertise in system design methodologies and ECSS standards.
Exposure to new technologies like AI.
Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in Space Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
Professional Experience:
Over 5 years of experience in SSA or Aerospace Engineering.
