Responsible for initiating, developing and/or maintaining Insurance products, identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities in line with the desired risk level and existing guidelines of the organization. All the while with a view to ensuring compliance and effective operational design to deliver improving performance for insurance from both a financial and customer satisfaction perspective. Providing subject matter expertise (SME) oversight as and when necessary, providing support & training to internal & external stakeholders.
Day to day:
* Support the effective management of all insurance fee income generating programs in South Europe: Spain, Portugal, France & Italy.
* Cooperate with GBUs, countries, Global Insurance Team and other DLL stakeholders to implement and manage commercial insurance and risk solutions products, within the rules and guidelines of DLL and regulatory authorities in order to maximize profits and ensure smooth and compliant operational handling.
* Educate and advise sales staff, country insurance teams, dealers, customers and vendors.
* Manage relationships with brokers, TPA and insurance companies across Spain, Italy, France and Portugal as necessary.
* All levels described in this reference job profile require at least the equivalent of 10 years of relevant experience and a higher vocational level of thinking.
Experience:
* 10 years of commercial insurance experience (Physical Damage, Property, Motor and PPI/Life) with demonstrated strong sales performance record.
* 5 years of sales Leasing company experience with success track record.
* Knowledge of European IDD and local insurance regulations in Spain, Portugal, Italy and France.
* Deep knowledge of leasing financial products: finance lease, operational lease, renting and loan with pledge.
* Track record of consistent delivery against stated objectives in the Spanish market.
* Expertise in Agriculture, Green assets and e-Mobility desired.
* Insurance Operational handling experience (quotation, submission, complex claim handling).
* Placement, procurement and successful Underwriting experience on electronic and green assets, agriculture, material handling and construction equipment.
* General knowledge and understanding of Reinsurance.
* Regular exposure and experience of presenting to or influencing senior external and internal stakeholder groups (incl. C-suite / Board levels).

* Sales and business development skills enabling the role-holder to consistently identify win-win areas that align the interests of multiple stakeholders and influence positive action in support of DLL Global Insurance objectives.
* Natural curiosity and drive to stay on top of development from a GBU business profile, technological or legal standpoint that may impact DLL’s ability to deliver its commercial insurance strategy for the South region.
* Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with GBUs, local insurance teams, clients, brokers, carriers and other relevant members of the DLL’s ecosystem.

Education and Other Credentials
* Educational Background: degree in Business Administration/Economics or Engineering.
* Ideally holding a recognized Professional Insurance Qualification(s) (may be possible to obtain post-hire for right candidate).
* English and Spanish fluent (Portuguese, Italian and French be a plus).
* Excellent command of Excel.
* Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
* Willingness to work in a team, results orientation and aptitude for problem solving.
* Strong internal and external stakeholder management and ability to interact proficiently with all levels of the key functional stakeholder.
