Job Description:
Your Role & Responsibilities
* Leading and managing Supplier Quality of BU4 global prior SOP (SQA-D).
* Ensure release of supplied purchase parts (quality and quantity) according to specification by coordination of SQA tasks as defined in SQA RASIC (APQP for purchased parts and supplier development).
* Planning and assuring quality of purchased parts applying quality methods and tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC).
* Interface to Project Purchasing, Commodity Purchasing, Development, Plants and other preventive BU4 departments.
* Coordinate by segment BU4 global SQA-D & SQA-P teams to ensure Supplier Quality performance meeting all customer expectations and excellence (external and internal customers, plants).
* Represent SQA in sourcing decisions for BU4 SQA-D/-P.
* Plan, perform and monitor supplier process audits according to VDA 6.3 and/or supplier assessments - define development actions (audits, PPAP, checking of corrective action effectiveness for BU4 SQA-D/-P).
* First and second level escalation management with suppliers before and after SOP.
* Problem solving tracking for escalation level 2 and higher according to escalation guideline.
* Active contribution in teams to develop supplier strategies (teamwork with purchasing, project teams, plants, and central functions and for VA/VE activities).
* Active contribution in teams to develop quality strategies for supplied parts (teamwork with purchasing, project teams, plants, and central functions and for VA/VE activities).
* Preparation, follow-up and wrap up of quality agreements with suppliers.
* Supplier visits/meetings (including domestic and international travel as required).
* Internal and external reporting including related activities.
* Collaboration in projects and documentation & presentation of results.
Your Skills & Strengths
* Technical background and deep understanding of manufacturing processes & technologies for metal.
* At least five years of professional experience in a similar position. Previous experience in the automotive sector will be an asset.
* Advanced knowledge of IT tools (MS Office & SAP R3).
* Competency in quality methods and tools (TS 16949, Problem Solving, FMEA, SPC, MSA, GD&).
* Commercial knowledge.
* Leadership skills and experience in leading intercultural teams.
* Strong character, leadership & authority skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* C1 level of English is required. Spanish or German will be valued.
