The Role:- Where you fit in? MRTA (Maintenance, Reliability, Turn Around) is about understanding and maintaining our equipment as effectively and efficiently as possible, making sure it performs as intended. The Maintenance discipline covers the development of Maintenance strategies and the planning, co-ordination and execution of Maintenance activities. Maintenance ensures safe, defect free and efficient operations through the regular upkeep of equipment and tools in the most cost efficient and timely manner.
What’s the role? Under the direction of the Scheduling Supervisor and part of a Scheduling Team, Maintenance Schedulers implement the scheduling function for all Routine (Day to Day) and Non-Routine (Pitstops, Campaign, Infrastructure, Construction) Maintenance on site. They ensure timely execution of maintenance work and minimize cost of execution through optimized resource utilization by scheduling both preventive and corrective work.
1. Import and maintain logical network of activities for all types Maintenance in a Production Unit.
2. Maintain and optimize a resource leveled schedule based on manpower inputs from Execution team with a frozen first week schedule 100% loaded, an approved second week schedule 80% loaded and a third week 70% loaded look ahead.
3. Drive accountability for daily schedule updates and compliance with agreed completion dates.
4. Validate job plan details and provide feedback to planning as required.
5. Maintain a clear overview of the volume of prepared corrective/preventive backlog work orders as well as their priorities to decide when to bring the work into the specific week for execution.
6. Combine activities for efficient execution, reducing losses in required time for work preparation, work execution and work closure.
7. Produce daily, weekly prelim and weekly final schedules and create weekly baselines for tracking purposes.
8. Facilitate a Weekly/Daily Meeting schedule as outlined below.
9. Communicate with other maintenance schedulers for shared resources and services.
10. Update Daily Tracker for exceptions - not complete, and rescheduled work.
11. Work with Production Team to make sure finish date doesn’t pass the Basic Finish Date without approval as per deferral process.
12. Support the issuance of a weekly One Site Schedule.
13. Maintain projects coding in Primavera.
14. Provide support with Team Member or other digital tool for schedule updates.
15. Subject Matter Expert of the Scheduling process in Maintenance.
16. Act as a Digital change agent to continuously improve the Maintenance Scheduling process by utilizing new digital processes and tools.
Skills & Requirements- What we need from you -
1. Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
2. Must have some post-secondary education from a recognized institution. Preference will be given to Engineering Professionals, Certified Tradespersons, and Accredited Technologists. Or a minimum of 5 years direct Scheduling training and experience.
3. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Oil and Gas/Power Generation/Manufacturing industry supporting Planning and Scheduling or Execution of Maintenance/Projects or Turnarounds.
4. Able to conduct business conversations and communicate freely and effectively with all levels of the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Strong organizational and task management skills. Self-Starter. Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment without direction.
6. Demonstrated ability as a Team Player. Willingly offer and accept challenge and feedback on job deliverables.
