The Role
We’re looking for a dynamic Release Management Expert to join our team and play a key role in coordinating the entire software release lifecycle. In this critical position, you will drive the efficiency and quality of software releases, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production while upholding the highest standards of integrity throughout the process.
As the Release Management Expert, you will take full ownership of the release lifecycle, from scheduling and coordination to communication and risk management. You’ll be responsible for managing releases across multiple products and projects, working closely with IS/IT Product and Project Management teams. Your expertise will also be instrumental in improving software engineering processes, with a focus on continuous building, deployment, and environment updates.
Your role will go beyond coordination – you’ll help product teams navigate the complexities of software releases and ensure that delivery is reliable, predictable, and flawless. Additionally, you will bring your strategic vision to the transition to a DevOps model, orchestrating the release pipeline, implementing automation, and ensuring post-release stability. In This Role, You Will:
* Release Planning & Risk Mitigation : Develop high-level release plans, identify risks, and establish mitigation strategies to ensure smooth release processes aligned with organizational goals.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Communication : Lead governance calls, facilitate milestone decisions, and ensure clear communication of release activities and changes to stakeholders.
* Documentation & Training : Maintain up-to-date release documentation and create training materials to ensure process adherence and consistency.
* Post-Release Review & Continuous Improvement : Conduct post-release reviews, identify issues, implement corrective actions, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
* Quality Assurance : Define release strategies and ensure quality standards to minimize errors and downtime.
* Automation Proficiency : Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the release process for increased efficiency and accuracy.
* Release Pipeline Oversight : Optimize and oversee the release pipeline, automate tasks, and minimize bottlenecks to improve speed and reduce errors.
What We’re Looking For:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, Business or related fields, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of relevant Release Management experience within a large-scale IT environment.
* Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
* Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow and JIRA.
* Ability to manage large amounts of information and document it using Confluence.
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
* Experience working in DevOps methodology.
* Knowledge in testing tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket)
