About the Role & Team
The PR team is responsible for devising and implementing publicity campaigns for our portfolio in Spain, while working closely with the EMEA Publicity team.
This role for Disney+ works within the team to develop and execute strategic and creative public relations campaigns for all content released on the platform.
You will be accountable for securing positive, high-quality coverage of the division's titles and franchises across all editorial media platforms including digital, broadcast, and print.
You will work in future planning the local and international titles and work directly with external agencies when needed to support the strategy of any given title/event.
Additionally, in this position you might work across the rest of The Walt Disney Company on relevant integrated PR campaigns and initiatives.
This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week in our Madrid office, with one day working from home.
What You Will Do
* Run the day-to-day consumer press office management and campaign implementation along with the team coordinator including a wide range of tasks from responding to day-to-day requests and handling questions from media and different stakeholders, to managing talent, press releases, and press materials or maintaining data and elaborating reports.
* Work on the development and delivery of the Disney+ local originals campaigns, including comms planning, asset gathering, and approvals management.
* Supervise campaigns end to end, inclusive of talent management and event execution.
* Using a strategic approach, plan year on year local original campaigns, thinking of new ways to secure coverage in traditional and new media channels.
* Work and develop collaborative relationships across different teams and stakeholders (brand marketing, social media, local originals, corporate communications, production companies, talent, agents, and personal publicists) with the goal of increasing opportunities and developing fully cohesive publicity campaigns.
* Press/Talent tour organization including tasks such as managing digital, print, and broadcast interviews, implementing publicity schedules for Talent tours, and supervising logistics.
* Think and implement new ways to increase talent presence through out-of-the-box ideas.
* Summarize completed junket/event activity details for inclusion in overall junket wrap report for internal circulation.
* Event Organization: planning and execution of in-house publicity events, securing press attendance and participation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Proficient in English and Spanish.
* Proven experience working in the Publicity/Public Relations area.
* Deep understanding of the media and entertainment industry, namely television and streaming.
* Network of connections established in Media.
* Experience managing award campaigns and festivals, as part of a local content campaign.
* Used to handling a range of partners, some of them senior.
* Crisis management experience.
* Experience working with local titles, production companies, and talent.
* Experience running events.
* Established Media network as well as third-party relationships.
* Knowledge of the Spanish Media landscape, industry trends, and production landscape.
* The ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
* Excellent attention to detail and flexibility.
* Self-starter, showing initiative, highly collaborative.
* Thinks strategically, communicates effectively, and gets results.
