Groupon is an experiences marketplace that brings people more ways to get the most out of their city or wherever they may be. By enabling real-time mobile commerce across local businesses, live events, and travel destinations, Groupon helps people find and discover experiences––big and small, new and familiar––that make for a full, fun, and rewarding life. Groupon helps local businesses grow and strengthen customer relationships––resulting in strong, vibrant communities. Even with thousands of employees spread across multiple continents, we still maintain a culture that inspires innovation, rewards risk-taking, and celebrates success.
Our Inbound Sales teams focus on building partnerships with new Groupon merchants. We spend our days learning about what makes small-business tick and how to craft unique marketing campaigns to help them reach their targeted audiences. Our expertise ultimately creates jobs and drives economies as we help local merchants thrive.
As the Team Lead for Inbound Sales, you'd be responsible for leading and developing a sales team, maintaining high productivity levels, achieving sales expectations, and continuing to grow the organization. Our leads are consistently using improving sales processes and tools to help their teams exceed their sales targets and optimize the offerings within their specific business category.
We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact. We're curious, fun, a little intense, and kind of obsessed with helping local businesses thrive.
You’ll spend time on the following:
1. Attract, develop, motivate, lead, and retain a team of inbound sales professionals to meet and exceed short- and long-term sales goals.
2. Drive clear communications on expectations, remove any roadblocks, and hold sales team accountable for results.
3. Ensure results from mostly inbound sales representatives to ensure they are meeting or exceeding goals.
4. Communicate the best approach to sales teams on merchant business categories and sectors.
5. Prioritize and allocate resources to ensure adequate support for sales representatives.
6. Monitor and align daily activities on sales volume, deal quality, and pipeline management.
7. Train team on documented sales process and strategy to optimize the value of their outputs.
8. Lead sales team to drive knowledge-development and company-wide best practice-sharing.
We’re excited about you if you have:
1. Bachelor's degree required.
2. 3+ years of B2B sales management experience, preferably in an inbound sales environment.
3. Sales training and development experience a plus.
4. Fluent in English, Spanish, and/or other European languages a plus.
5. Track record of strong performance, growing sales teams, and increasing profitability.
6. Evidence of successfully leading others to exceed measurable sales and revenue targets.
7. Comfortable in ambiguous, dynamic environments.
8. Fearless enthusiasm for sales and ability to make things happen.
9. Analytical and able to make decisions based on real data.
10. Adaptable and can think on your feet; when your team is faced with new challenges or tough sales situations, you help them face them head-on.
11. Demonstrated levels of dedication and ownership required to succeed at start-up speed.

Beware of Recruitment Fraud: Groupon follows a merit-based recruitment process without charging job seekers any fees. We've noticed an increase in recruitment fraud, including fake job postings and fraudulent interviews and job offers aimed at stealing personal information or money. Be cautious of individuals falsely representing Groupon's Talent Acquisition team with fake job offers. If you encounter any suspicious job offers or interview calls demanding money, recognize these as scams. Groupon is not responsible for losses from such dealings.
