As a Procurement Category Manager, you will work alongside the EU Project Team, providing effective procurement support for major site capacity and expansion initiatives. Develop and implement procurement strategies to support project delivery - on time, within budget, and in compliance with corporate policies.
Develop an overview of common capex items and categories (including material delivery systems, mixers, packing equipment, automation, control systems, integrators, etc.) and build a price matrix and contract database in support of budget creation and efficient execution for future projects.
Supplier Management : Develop a portfolio of suppliers to support project delivery and build and maintain relationships. Ensure supplier performance meets project requirements.
Tendering and Contracting : Lead tender processes, evaluate bids, and negotiate contract terms and supplier service level agreements to secure the best value and risk mitigation for the business. Group / consolidate requirements where possible and agree on tiered, volume-based price structures.
Responsibilities :

Qualifications :
* CIPS or equivalent procurement certification.
* Educated to Degree Level or above (ideally technical, engineering, or supply-related).
* Min 5 years experience within a similar environment / sector in a purchasing / buying role, capex procurement.
* Experience in Food / Bakery / FMCG manufacturer procurement would be preferential but not essential.
