ROLE SUMMARY:
Sotogrande International School is seeking a dynamic and passionate S.T.E.A.M. Teacher to assume this role for our Summer Camps in Sotogrande. The S.T.E.A.M. Teacher will be responsible for delivering quality instruction and leading engaging activities in the S.T.E.A.M. program at the camp. The S.T.E.A.M. Teacher will work closely with the Head of S.T.E.A.M. and other camp staff to ensure that the S.T.E.A.M. program aligns with the overall goals and objectives of the camp, and provides a positive and enriching experience for all campers. This position requires strong instructional and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Plan and deliver daily S.T.E.A.M. lessons and activities for campers of all ages and levels, incorporating hands-on projects that promote learning and exploration.
* Collaborate with the Head of S.T.E.A.M. and other camp staff to integrate S.T.E.A.M. programming into other camp activities and events, including evening programs and campfires.
* Ensure that all S.T.E.A.M. activities are safe and age-appropriate, and that all staff and campers adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
* Assess camper progress in S.T.E.A.M. activities and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
* Manage S.T.E.A.M. supplies and equipment, and work with the Head of S.T.E.A.M. to maintain inventory and order new materials as needed.
* Foster positive relationships with campers and fellow staff members through effective communication and teamwork.
* Attend regular meetings with the Head of S.T.E.A.M. and other program heads to discuss programming, staff management, and camper progress.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of S.T.E.A.M.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* Bachelor's degree in a S.T.E.A.M.-related field, such as engineering, science, or education.
* Minimum of one year of experience in a S.T.E.A.M. education or programming role, preferably in a summer camp or similar setting.
* Strong instructional skills, with the ability to deliver engaging and effective S.T.E.A.M. programming.
* Knowledge of S.T.E.A.M. programming best practices and current trends.
* Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing circumstances as needed.
Contract & Benefits:
* Contract from 26th June to 2nd August 2025 (includes training). 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. €375 weekly wage + additional pay for Arrival Day tasks. Accommodation, meals, and supportive management structure included. Professional and personal development opportunities.
