The M&A Team in Iberia is growing and looking for a motivated Consultant to join them!
The M&A team is currently going through a period of significant growth in the market whilst also servicing an existing large base of clients. Consultants in the M&A team work on a wide range of interesting projects including ESG management consultancy, advisory and due diligence covering decarbonisation, EHS, climate risk and social/human rights aspects.
To support the successful delivery of our growth ambition, the team is looking to appoint a motivated, detail-oriented Consultant with a passion for sustainability who will support the delivery of EHS audits to a range of clients from the financial services (including private equity) and the corporate sector (o&g, pharmaceuticals, etc.).
Our offices are in Madrid and Barcelona, and we offer flexible working arrangements. The role will require frequent travel (mostly within the country) to the work site.
Job Responsibilities:
* Environmental, health and safety (EHS) audits to support mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance audits, supply chain audit programs.
* Audits on environmental, social, governance (ESG) issues, to help companies and corporations identify reputational risks and opportunities for sustainable development.
* Supporting project managers in requested activities such as research for information, writing reports, proposal preparation, etc.
* Delivering multiple project tasks or components, including proposals.
About you:
* Ideally more than 3 years of relevant experience in EHS (HSE) due diligence and audit, ideally across a range of industries.
* A Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Sistemas Integrados de Calidad, Medio Ambiente y Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo or other relevant disciplines.
* A specialization in energy or civil engineering or experience in the sustainability/carbon sector would be considered a plus, but not a requirement.
* Working knowledge of English (C1) is required; knowledge of other languages will be considered a plus (preferred Portuguese).
* Good knowledge of Spanish Environmental and EHS legislation. Knowledge of international EHS standards will be considered an advantage.
* Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently.
* Desire to develop a career in consulting, developing knowledge in areas of sustainability such as ESG.
* Commitment to being responsive to our clients’ needs and meeting transaction schedules.
