We are looking for an Electronic Design Engineer to join our team and take a science-based approach to the development of our electronic systems. You’ll be at the forefront of hardware design, embedded systems integration, and circuit development to ensure our robots are intelligent, efficient, and reliable. Your Role
As an Electronics Engineer at THEKER, you will be responsible for designing and developing the electronic hardware that powers our robotic platforms. Your role will involve PCB design, component selection, embedded systems integration, and low-level programming to ensure our products are robust and innovative.
Main Responsibilities:
* Take a science-based approach to the development of new electronic products.
* Design and develop PCBs for robotic systems, including schematic capture and layout.
* Select electronic components that meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
* Develop and integrate embedded systems, including programming microcontrollers in C/C++.
* Work with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART and USB for sensor, actuator and microcontroller communication.
* Perform testing and debugging of electronic circuits and firmware.
* Collaborate with the mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless product integration.
* Continuously research new electronic and embedded technologies to bring innovative solutions to the company.
Must-Have Requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience with electronics gained through professional work, personal projects, or active participation in technical university competitions or research teams.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Fluent in English.
* Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad).
* Strong foundation in electronic circuit design and debugging.
* Solid understanding of embedded systems and programming (e.g., ESP32, STM32, or similar platforms).
* Hard-working attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
* Innovative, out-of-the-box thinker with a passion for robotics.
* Willingness to reside in Barcelona or relocate to this city or its surroundings.
Desirable Skills (Not Mandatory):
* Experience with power electronics, signal conditioning, and sensor integration.
* Familiarity with real-time and low-level programming.
* Knowledge of robotic systems and their electronic integration.
