JOB TITLE: INSTALLATION TEAM LEADER
Purpose of the Job
* To undertake delegated responsibilities from the Installation Supervisor, PrIM for the delivery of site works. The field operation manager takes responsibility for a stage/package/section of installation within the project contracted installation scope.
* Execution of equipment installation activities in the field and onboard according to project planning and Installation Supervisor orientations and instruction.
Performance Measurement
* Quality of installation activities (Number of Punch Points).
* Productivity as per reference Library2, PPI filling with the Installation Supervisor.
* Issue of Red and Yellow drawing reports
Responsibilities
* The Installation Team Leader or the Installation technician will assume all worker responsibilities as such:
* Execute specific installation activities according to the design documentation and Installation Supervisor orientation/instruction.
* Comply with EHS procedures and maintain PPE defined by EHS, ensure collective protections are in place, and alert the supervisor/PrIM whenever any deviation to EHS rules or EHS risk is identified.
* Ensure he has the right means to perform the installation:
o Tools calibrated
o Understanding of drawings and Method statement
o Right material
o Accurate knowledge/training for performing the work
* Perform activities with quality – No deviation versus drawings and method statement = No punch point.
* Report and alert the hierarchical superior if any risk, difficulties, or issues are identified during the installation activities that may impact safety, quality, and/or performance of the work.
In addition, as Team Leader/Capataz, he will assume the following responsibilities:
* Manage the team for performing a task in a work location: Review up-to-date documentation, verify tools, verify skills and train workers if required, verify availability of material and equipment for the team to perform the tasks required, ensure access is given for performing the work.
* Perform reports as per request to the Installation Supervisor/PrIM: Daily progress report, survey report, anomaly report, EHS report, Preparation of handover report.
* As Fiber Optic Installation Technician – UTP Wiring and Connection, he will assume the following responsibilities:
* Have expertise for some critical tasks – for example technical: Fiber Optical (Installation, fusion and Testing), UTP (Wiring and Connection), Process: special processes – and therefore will be dedicated for these tasks on several previous projects.
* Train and assess project team – Support Team Leader or Worker – for developing skills and competencies on his expertise knowledge for a dedicated project.
Main Required Competences
Educational Requirements
* Minimum high school degree, medium technical level in (preferably electronics or electric or electromechanics systems) or equivalent experience of 3 to 5 years in similar functions.
* Highly qualified technician.
* Desirable:
* Construction Industry (Electrical or Electronic)
* Communication Industry
* Fiber Optic Field
* Technical High-School Diploma
Experience
* Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Industrial activities related to Electrical, Electronic, Fiber Optic Field within industry.
* Relevant experience on railway site management.
* Relevant experience on railway EHS management.
* Experience on railway products installation methods.
* Desirable:
* Familiarity with high-risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements.
* Knowledgeable of Railway products and services on different market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M).
* Knowledgeable of transversal railway construction activities (civil, infrastructure, electric, etc.).
Competencies & Skills
* Good technical level in electrical, electronic, mechanical and networks domains.
* Result-driven mindset.
* Ability to communicate effectively with other colleagues and functions (engineering, manufacturing, industrial, quality, etc.).
* Ability for problem-solving and efficient decision-making in a complex environment.
* Ability to work across sites/functions in a multi-cultural environment.
