The European Controlling team are responsible for controlling activities and provides support to more than 18 countries and 70 production plants, employing a 50% hybrid work model. Specifically, the Controlling team are responsible for cost controlling, standard costing and performance monitoring. In this strategic role, you will directly contribute to improve financial performance and process efficiency, with core responsibility of East Europe. You will collaborate with a team of country dedicated controllers to further develop a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with our business partners and cross-functional departments across Europe.
JOB MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for cost controlling, standard costing, and performance monitoring of Plants and Cost Centers following the established accounting and reporting guidelines and policiesEnsure timely and accurate SAP COPA module closure and corresponding detailed analysisCollaborate with Plant Managers and local business partners to drive efficiency and improve financial performanceContribute to standardize and harmonize processes/templates
Performance ManagementAnalyze and explain variances against plan, target, and prior-year resultIdentify cost-saving opportunities and strategies to enhance revenueTrack monthly expenditures and ensure adherence to approved levelsPropose improvements to reduce costs, obsolescence and improve working capital
Reporting, Analysis, and ImprovementsDeliver accurate and timely reportsLead process automation and improvement initiativesConduct in-depth cost evaluations and prepare ad-hoc analyses
Budgeting and PlanningDevelop and maintain standard costsSupport annual target setting and forecastingEnhance planning and reporting processes with advanced tools
Compliance and ControlsEnsure compliance with local and global policiesRecommend and implement control improvementsCoordinate with auditors and ensure regulatory adherence
QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (ACCA, CIMA, or CPA a plus)Experience: 3+ years in accounting or controlling in manufacturing environmentTechnical Skills: SAP expertise, advanced Excel, and financial analysis toolsCompetencies: Attention to details & accuracy, good communication skills, ability for problem-solving, capacity for multi-task/prioritize and critical thinking. Accept ownership for goal attainment. Skill to work in a team environment and be team playerLanguages: Proficiency in English; additional local language skills are a plus (Polish and/or Hungarian and Czech)
