Meet your future department
The Sales Strategy department is responsible for designing and executing strategic plans to increase sales and revenues of the company. Its main function is to analyze the market, competition and customer behavior, and propose actions to improve commercial performance, such as the definition of the optimal assortment, or the pricing and promotions policy.
How can you help us?
As Category Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing the marketing strategy at the point of sale for the products in the assigned categories. Your goal will be to optimize the profitability of the brand and the customer, increasing the turnover, distribution and visibility of products at the point of sale.
Your main responsibilities
1. Analyze the market, the competition, the shopper and the customer to identify business opportunities.
2. Design action plans for each category and channel, in coordination with the sales and marketing team.
3. Establish the targets and indicators of each action plan and monitor the results.
4. Establish guidelines of what the perfect store should look like for each category and channel, as well as tracking results.
5. Collaborate with clients in the management by categories to optimize the assortment, the spaces, the planogram and the second exhibition.
6. Develop and present to customers arguments and selling stories for sales development.
Skills and Competencies
Background:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or similar
* Previous experience in similar positions, preferably in the FMCG sector
* Knowledge of trade marketing, category management, planogramming and market analysis will be positively valued
* English: C1 level
Competences:
* High communication skills, teamwork and negotiation
* Capacity for planning and organization
* Strong analytical skills
* Proactivity
* Mastery of computer tools such as Excel or PowerPoint
* Knowledge of PowerBI will be positively valued
Others: Based in Murcia.
