At DHL Global Forwarding, we are looking for a Controlling Manager (m/f/n) with Iberian responsibilities (Spain and Portugal) to join our team in Madrid, reporting to the CFO Iberia, and based in Coslada.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee and report on the financial findings and performance resulting from the Business Operations during the reporting period.
* Be a Finance Business Partner to Country Management, Product Management, Station Management, Sales Management, and Regional Management.
* Monitor and measure Product / Station performance, target achievements, and drive root-cause analysis on KPIs such as Product / Station / File profitability, Cost of Sales, variance analysis, Gross Profit / EBIT conversion, etc.
* Drive month-end process as a Product / Station Controller.
* Drive a feedback/commentary process with Product teams on periodic performance and anomalies.
* Work as an adviser for Business Operations on behalf of Regional / Global Finance Controlling to drive standard optimized best practices.
* Manage a 2-person team based in Madrid.
* Coordinate and work on Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting processes.
* Initiate development of action plans, follow up, and monitor implementation/effects.
* Facilitate strategy implementation, decision-making, process, and management reviews.
* Proactively identify trends and challenge business operations on potential opportunities and risks.
Skills Required:
* Very good analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent MS Excel skills and reporting tools.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Proactive and able to work under pressure.
* Strong customer orientation (able to build and manage a successful business partnership).
* Constructive challenge (able to stand up for his ideas/beliefs and challenge for the better).
* Able to propose solutions, resolve problems, and facilitate decision making.
* Team Management: people-oriented.
* Teamwork.
* Drive license and own car will be desired (workplace in Coslada).
Qualifications:
* University Finance graduate with strong accounting background.
* Both Spanish and English fluent; Portuguese is NOT a must but will be valued.
* 5-6 years' working experience in controlling roles, preferably in the field of logistics / transport operations.
