We're currently seeking 2 Category Managers to join our global procurement team, based in either the UK or Spain. One will manage Sales & Operations, while the other will oversee Marketing categories.
About the Role:
The corporate procurement team is expanding within SD Worx at an international corporate level. As a Category Manager, you'll be responsible for international category plans and collaboration with stakeholders to define sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.
You'll work on realising savings and value-add activities to deepen engagement with the procurement team and showcase your value contribution. Ensuring group compliance targets are met in alignment with policies, strategies, and processes is also key.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement Procurement Category Strategies and Plans, including risk assessment, supplier base evaluation, and opportunity identification.
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders and business representatives at an international level.
* Benchmark (sub)category best practices to identify improvement initiatives.
* Lead category strategy implementation and execute defined sourcing initiatives.
* Support cross-functional sourcing teams in different stages of the sourcing process.
Requirements:
* Strong category management experience in indirect procurement, preferably in sales and marketing categories.
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar functional domain or related position, with knowledge of relevant categories and markets.
* Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Procurement, Law, or a comparable field.
* Experience in indirect procurement, preferably professional services, at an international level.
* Sound knowledge of procurement methodologies, partnering, category management, supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting.
* Experience working with project process management and collaboration.
* Strong analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
