TEAM DESCRIPTION:
Within GIE AXA, the Internal Model Review (IMR) team is part of Group Risks Management. The team was created to provide an independent opinion to the supervisors and to Board of Directors on the compliance and consistency of our Internal Model with Solvency II principles and with Group´s guidelines. IMR has the following objectives:
* Provide the AXA Group’s top management with an appropriate level of comfort on the quality and the adequacy of the risks modelled to assess the required capital,
* Ensure the robustness and the consistency of the methodologies, processes and tools used across the Group for the risks assessment,
* Contribute to the improvement of the models and risks metrics by tracking potential errors and sharing best practices.
* The IMR team is structured in different areas:
. Assets & ALM model standards, Market & Credit Risks,
. Liabilities standards, Best Estimates and Life Risks,
. P&C Risks,
. Operational Risks.
. IFRS17.
The scope of the team was extended recently to integrate various new components. First, it was decided to also include the review of the actuarial and model-related topics of IFRS17, in addition of the review of the S2 Internal Model. Moreover, while the IMR team was only focused historically on the local entities, it was decided to also cover the models run and developed at Group level. This recruitment takes place in the context of this extension of the missions of the team. Don´t lose this opportunity to join a team that keeps growing, with a large diversity of topics.
MAIN PURPOSE:
The objective of the role is to perform in-depth reviews. This work will be done in close coordination with the various IMR sub-teams, focusing both on Solvency 2 and the Internal model on one side, and IFRS17 actuarial & model related topics on the other side, with the aim of maximizing the synergies between the reviews of these various frameworks. The conclusions of the reviews are presented to the top management, locally and at Group level. The IMR team also regularly interacts with the external auditors and with the supervisors.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
* Continue developing and building the review methodologies and maintain them over time;
* Organize & run the review processes, both for IFRS17 and S2: perform the analyses and lead the discussions;
* Write the reports and communicate the conclusions, locally and at Group level;
* Monitor the good implementation of the remediation plans;
* Help the Group to steer the topics related to the reviews;
* Ensure the coordination with the external auditors and the supervisors;
The role includes regular onsite visits in the entities. After only a few years, the candidate will develop a unique and detailed knowledge about the entities, the products and the models of the AXA Group (including best practices, shortfalls and limitations).
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Technical and professional skills:
* Knowledge of IFRS 17 and Solvency 2 principles;
* Expertise on actuarial valuation models;
* Structure and features of the insurance products;
* Insurance accounting and regulatory environment;
Tools:
* MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint): extensive use of Excel spreadsheets and VBA macros;
* Knowledge of DFA tools would be a plus, to perform some runs and read / extract the outputs;
Soft skills:
* Good English level (C1): capacity to communicate on technical topics and to write presentations;
* Appetite for international environments and travels abroad;
* Analytic mindset, good organizational skills and presentation skills; capacity to translate and summarize complex technical topics into nice presentations and reports;
* Collaborative capacity of working with open and transparent communication building trustful relationships;
* Proactivity, capacity to learn new things / develop new skills, hands-on and polyvalent;
* Ability to organize daily work and accustomed to working with deadlines.

Experience:
* Academic background: Mathematics, finance, statistics and/or actuarial studies.
* Professional experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in risk management, actuarial or finance, or in an audit / consulting function.
