Our client is a pioneering technology company driving next-generation, energy-efficient data center solutions.
Specialising in advanced liquid cooling technology, they are transforming the way data centers, supercomputers, and AI infrastructure operate—reducing energy consumption, increasing efficiency, and pushing the boundaries of sustainability.
As they expand their global presence, they are now looking for a highly skilled MEP Project Engineer to join their team in Europe.
As the MEP Project Engineer, you will:
* Design & Development – Create detailed mechanical and electrical designs for data center systems, including HVAC, liquid cooling, power distribution, and lighting.
* System Integration – Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless product and system performance that meets project requirements.
* Load Analysis & Optimisation – Perform power and cooling load calculations to optimize efficiency and reliability.
* Compliance & Standards – Ensure all designs meet ASHRAE, ISO/IEC, IEEE, NEC, LEED, and other industry regulations.
* Project Management – Assist in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and technical oversight throughout project life cycles.
* Vendor & Contractor Coordination – Work closely with suppliers and contractors to evaluate equipment options and oversee high-quality installations.
* Performance Testing – Conduct system evaluations and load testing during commissioning, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
* Technical Documentation – Prepare and maintain design specifications, technical reports, and project documentation.
📍Europe, preferably based in Spain, but if you're based elsewhere in Europe and happy to travel, that's also cool!

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience: 5+ years in mechanical/electrical design, ideally in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or high-performance infrastructure.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, with a solid understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, and cooling systems.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong grasp of data center infrastructure, energy efficiency best practices, and mission-critical engineering principles.
* Problem-Solving: A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to analyze complex challenges and develop innovative solutions.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
* Certifications (a plus): Professional Engineer (PE) license, LEED AP, PMP, or other relevant industry certifications.
* Industry Standards: Hands-on experience with data center design standards, including ASHRAE, IEEE, ISO, Uptime Institute, BICSI, TIA-942, NIST, LEED, NFPA.
