Mission
Our objective is to provide data protection support to different products and services of the entity which is in full international expansion reporting to the Data Protection Officer. For them it is necessary to have knowledge of data protection in financial services and financing products buy now pay later credit cards loans etc. and in the implementation of the regulations in different geographies of the European Union.
The successful candidate should hold experience in a similar data protection role and have a proven track record of delivering results in a challenging environment. The individual will be capable of delivering results with and through colleagues and peers both cross functionally and cross jurisdictionally. The role will require working cross functionally and cross jurisdictionally daily so cross jurisdiction privacy knowledge is preferred.
Responsibilities
* Provide practical guidance and advice internally on Data Protection matters while working as part of al data privacy team under the guidance of Openbanks Data Protection Officer.
* Participate in all processes that deal with the processing of personal data and providing relevant consultations.
* Ensure compliance to international national state and local privacy laws and regulations.
* Create and implement strategies to ensure compliance with data protections laws.
* Perform DPIAs PIAs and LI assessments and build/maintain the clients RoPA.
* Mantain processes for receiving documenting tracking investigating and acting on all requests/complaints concerning the organizations privacy policies and procedures
To be successful in the role you must have
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal/ compliance experience including at a law firm or prior in-house experience.
* Degree in Law. Completing a masters degree in technology and/or data protection (desirable).
* Certification as DPO / IAPP or similar.
* Languages Advanced English (C1). It is desirable to have knowledge of other languages such as German / Dutch / Portuguese.
* Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent analytical reading/comprehension writing skills and strong attention to detail.
