Industrial Strategy Project Manager, Madrid
At Hays, we are seeking an Industrial Strategy Project Manager to join the HORSE team.
Purpose of the Position
To lead industrial strategy studies, manage cross-functional teams, and develop and implement strategic decisions that align with HORSE's long-term industrial objectives under the guidance of the Global Industrial Director.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and lead industrial strategy studies from defining the framework to formalizing decision files. Oversee inputs, outputs, and decision schedules to ensure timely and effective strategy execution.
2. Develop and validate the technical policy for components annually in collaboration with Production Engineering, Product Engineering, and USFT teams.
3. Propose manufacturing or purchasing guidelines for new projects and identify strategic opportunities for components.
4. Work with corporate business offices, regional operation directors, and engineering teams to evaluate and recommend scenarios for new business development.
5. Coordinate with the Advanced Process Engineering team to conduct capacity analyses based on the mid-term plan (5 years) and determine necessary actions for footprint adjustments.
6. Ensure the manufacture of parts for vehicles in series and end-of-life stages and define the manufacturing strategy for internally produced spare parts.
7. Consider the joint ventures extended company perspective to maximize synergies and strategic alignment across all activities.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of 8 years in industry with demonstrated experience in at least one of the main domains: Process Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.
2. In-depth knowledge of stakeholders, mechanical manufacturing processes, and project phases from advance to serial production.
3. Strong understanding of economics and financial principles as applied to project management.
4. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive collaborative efforts.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
6. Ability to approach issues with a corporate perspective, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
7. Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset for building arguments and decision-making.
8. Capability to synthesize information and prepare decision files for senior management.
