The Business Development Manager will assist in driving the overall regional business development direction, including region-based market intelligence and demand generation activities in close coordination with the Business Development Director, regional commercial teams, and Marketing. The focus area is Spain, but a holistic EMEA view and cross-border alignment/networking with peers is also relevant.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
* This role works proactively with the regional sales, marketing, and EMEA/global business development teams to systematically identify target vertical and regional markets and help sales teams drive incremental orders.
* Lead, own, and execute regional lead-generation campaigns to augment the sales pipeline and foster lead conversion, linked to a strong professional network and close interaction with external consultant companies.
* Establish, manage, and continuously improve the overall lead generation process for the region using Salesforce as the global lead management tool, ensuring very high accuracy of our data.
* Help leadership design, develop, and execute the growth strategy, including elements of 3-year forward-looking strategic planning processes (e.g., go-to-market plans, customer analysis, etc.).
* Own and drive regional competitive positioning, including insights about customer priorities and future ambitions; evaluate implications and tune this in close collaboration with regional sales teams.
* Develop and orchestrate the initial contact with prospects/customers, prepare and present customer presentations, and ensure the provision of up-to-date product and market information.
* Manage relationships with industry-specific associations and develop external messaging/value propositions.
* Carry out business intelligence activities by collecting and analyzing information regarding the market, sales channels, and competitors; obtaining feedback from customers about their satisfaction and needs; querying databases; conducting Internet searches; and cataloging press articles and professional reports.
* Possess sufficient technical know-how of our solutions to consultatively develop a customer towards an RFP that fits their demands and matches our capabilities.
Requirements:
* 8+ years of successful experience in leading and driving business development/market development/regional-based growth development with an ability to collaborate and drive data-driven results in a fast-paced environment.
* Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree; technical education is required.
* Experience in sales and/or business development in a B2B service-oriented industry.
* Team player, able to interact frequently within local sales teams to sync with outbound lead generation efforts.
* Experience in Warehouse Automation solutions and the capability to support the customer in consultative concepting to drive towards a suitable RFP, which is then handed over to sales.
* Existing extensive local professional network towards Warehouse Automation customers and consultants.
* Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for the area managed and basic knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact.
* Diligent in data accuracy and proactive in developing ideas.
* A very strong team player who thinks locally but also syncs on an EMEA level.
* Fluent in Spanish and English.
